Edge Biomed Brings on Biomedical Technician Joey Thepthongsay to Service the Nashville Region MarketEdge Admin
Edge Biomedical brings on Biomedical Technician Joey Thepthongsay to expand Edge’s service reach in the Nashville market. Thepthongsay spent his first 5 years as a biomedical technician servicing AEDs and Defibrillators. When asked why he decided to take the path of the Biomed he summed it up by saying “I like to work with my hands, I always have…especially anything electronic. So when I get the opportunity to work on equipment that lives depend on, I jumped at the chance. It is very rewarding at the end of the day to know I had a hand in making sure the equipment our customers depend on is as good as it was when it left the manufacturer.”
A Nashville graduate of Forttis Technical Institute with a degree in Biomedical Technology / IT Technologies, Thepthongsay has furthered his skillset with several OEM certifications such as Allied Healthcare (LSP Product line), Carefusion (MedSystem III Infusion Pumps), Covidien (HT70 Ventilator Service Seminar), ZOLL (R Series and X Series Defibrillators), Philips (Heartstart MRx), and recently completed his Ultrasound certification with TenVision.
Joey is married with two children, an 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter. In his off time he coaches his son’s soccer team and likes to spend time with his friends and family.
