Biomedical Technician Among the Fastest Growing Fields for VeteransEdge Admin
For vets looking for high tech, good-paying careers in a high growth industry, consider being a biomedical technician. The U.S. leads the world in medical innovation, and FDA approval for products remains the crown jewel for any device wanting to gain access to the U.S. market. Americans are serious about their healthcare, and that is unlikely to change. That is why the biomedical technician job was listed as one of the top choices for veterans, with a projected 27% growth rate between 2012 and 2018.
Walk in to any physician’s office, clinic or hospital, and you will see the vast amount of whirring, blinking and beeping medical devices that are used by our nurses, doctors and other medical professionals to diagnose and treat patients. Healthcare facilities spend millions of dollars on equipment that must be maintained and repaired on a regular basis. Autoclaves, vital signs monitors, EKGs, defibrillators and much more are required to be inspected once a year at a minimum.
Edge is proud to count some of our technicians as former military personnel, and several of us have family that have served our country. We love to hear from our vets. If any of you wish to join the Edge Team, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
